Greetings. It can be difficult when your significant other gets deployed. If you have children, managing things around the house can become overwhelming. Even if you don’t, this time can seem lonely and stressful. There are certain things you can do to remain positive and lead a happy life while your spouse is away.

It can be tempting to stay close to home during this time. After all, if you’re used to doing fun activities with your husband or wife, venturing out alone doesn’t seem as exciting. Investing yourself in your job, hobbies or friends and family members can keep you feeling social and engaged, however, so make sure to go out every so often.

Try getting involved with other military families. Community groups focused on this lifestyle can be fun and offer sources of support.
