Greetings, and welcome back to our series on the top jobs for veterans. Last time, we discussed the popular position of IT specialist. This week, let’s look at what it takes to be an operations manager.

If you thrived in a leadership position during your time in the military, this job could be an excellent fit for you. As an operations manager, you would oversee a warehouse, plant or other facility, making sure that production goes smoothly and effectively.

Typically, this job – which pays an average salary of around $90,000 per year – doesn’t require a degree, though people who studied business administration or industrial management may have an advantage over the competition as this job grows in popularity among the veteran community.
