Veterans face a number of pressing issues after their service, ranging from difficulty finding work to PTSD.

As a consequence, some vets raise awareness of these problems in unique ways, and one pair from New England is literally going to great lengths.

Veterans Kevin Kinkead and Daniel Taylor plan to walk through all of the lower 48 states to raise awareness of the difficulties some vets face.

Their journey began in different parts of New England and will go across the country, with the final stop coming in Nebraska, where Kinkead is from originally.

This effort, specifically designed to recognize wounded veterans and raise money and awareness for preventing veteran suicide, has already received significant support.

These kinds of initiatives show that vets can do plenty to help each other out even after they leave the service.

Thanks for watching!
