A recent hacking attack hit hundreds of veterans using the VA’s eBenefits website.

That highlights the need for vets to better protect themselves online.

The best way to protect against hacking attacks is to be careful. That includes coming up with unique passwords that would be almost impossible for hackers to guess.

For instance, the best passwords are long, and use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.

Experts say they should also be random, and not something like a pet’s name or a loved one’s birthday.

Finally, it’s wise to be careful about which websites you visit, and what you download.

Even email attachments from loved ones might be viruses or other forms of malware that can put your personal data at risk.

Thanks for watching.
