Nationwide, many veterans have experienced problems getting a job in the past. There may be many reasons why this happened, but the end result was disappointing.
However, many companies are now coming around to the benefits former servicemembers can provide their companies.
Veterans tend to be disciplined, dedicated workers who have plenty of real-world skills learned during their service. Bosses also like them because of how well they follow direction, and how reliably they show up every day.
Other skills, including leadership of their own and the ability to work exceptionally within teams, go over well with employers too.
The more companies can do to employ veterans, the better off both parties will be.
