Unemployment among veterans has been a problem in recent years, but that concern is starting to dwindle.
While more veterans are out looking for work these days, evidence suggests more businesses are receptive to hiring those with military experience.
For instance, a number of the nation’s largest employers now work with state and federal government agencies on programs that help get vets hired.
Many more participate in privately run local job fairs specifically aimed at getting veterans into the workforce.
The national unemployment rate for veterans is now below that of the population as a whole, and it could continue dropping in the future.
